A cold, dense sea fog that rolls in along the coast between Fife and Northumberland, usually when warm air drifts over the colder North Sea. It can sit for an afternoon or a week. When it lifts, the air underneath is a few degrees cooler and considerably clearer than before it arrived.
Nothing about it mentions water bottles
We picked it for that reason. Most hydration brands reach for the same handful of words: pure, fresh, flow. We wanted a name that belonged to a place first, and a product second.
Haar has been rolling into harbour towns along that coast for as long as anyone's kept records of it, unbothered by what people think of it turning up. It's a good word for something built to be reliable rather than remarkable. It does its job, keeps things cold, and gets on with it.
